🎨 Submission specifications for DTF files

To ensure a perfect end result, we ask you to provide your files as carefully as possible. The better the preparation, the sharper and more beautiful your DTF transfer will be.

Please read the specifications below carefully before uploading your design via our website.

✅ File formats

We accept the following file types:

  • .PNG – with transparent background (preferred)

  • .PDF – actual size, with transparency if applicable

  • .PSD / .AI / .SVG 

📐 Size & resolution

  • Submit the design at actual size

  • Resolution: minimum 300 dpi for razor-sharp prints

  • Maintain a 3 mm margin all around, especially for full-color designs to the edge

👉 You can place multiple designs on one sheet (gangsheet). In that case, ensure correct positioning and spacing yourself.

🎨 Color settings

  • Use RGB or CMYK

  • We print with CMYK + white, which ensures full colors and coverage on dark textiles

  • Pay attention to color gradients: subtle gradients can cause rasterization in some designs

🤍 White ink & transparency

  • White is automatically printed where needed (behind colors and as visible white areas)

  • If you do not want white ink in certain areas, clearly indicate this or use transparency in your file

  • Transparent or 'empty' areas in a PNG will not be printed

✂️ Cutting margins & positioning

  • Submit your design neatly without unnecessary white borders

  • If you want the design in a specific place on the sheet, place it exactly as desired

  • Multiple designs on one sheet? Ensure at least 1 cm spacing between them

👕 Suitable for:

Our DTF transfers work on, among others:

  • Cotton

  • Polyester

  • Cotton/polyester blends

  • Nylon (with adjusted pressing time and temperature)

  • Dark and light fabrics

🔥 Pressing instructions (included)

With every order, you will receive clear pressing instructions. Standard:

  • Temperature: 150 °C

  • Time: 9–12 seconds

  • Pressure: Medium

  • Peel: Cold peel

  • Repress: 9 seconds 

❌ Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

Error Solution
File incorrect size Check size in mm or cm before upload
Too low resolution (pixelated result) Use 300 dpi or higher
Forgot to remove white background Use transparency in PNG files
Text not converted to outlines Convert fonts to paths (for .PDF/.AI)
Gradient or shadow without testing Test prints with gradient on small size first
